Geekcorps Mali wanted to build a CMS-managed site for project partner Union de Radiodiffusions et Televisions Libres (URTEL).

Starting with Radio Guintan's SPIP templates as a base, I built a website based on content in URTEL's existing site and the colors in their official pamphlet. I created a vector-image version of their logo, which previously was only available as a bitmap image scanned from a hand drawing.

The advantages of the Geekcorps-built site over the existing Promali site:

• at present, the webhosting is free to URTEL
• URTEL staff can update all the sections of the site using SPIP
• URTEL can use the "news" section (not available on original site) to make timely announcements, highlight current events, etc.
