I am a versatile and creative web designer/developer, photographer, and writer with eight years’ hands-on technical experience.
My services, which can be divided into roughly three areas (described in greater detail below), complement each other well:

I have six years’ hands-on experience, developing expert skills with HTML/XHTML, CSS, PDF, website management, and various Web-based content management systems (CMS), and familiarity with XML, Javascript, PHP, UNIX, MySQL, relational databases, and web server administration.
My specialty is building visually appealing and informative websites for nonprofits and other small organizations. When you hire me to design and build your website, I work very closely with you, and personally take care of every detail:
Content management

- format final text and images
- validate pages and style sheets for quality and adherence to industry standards
- test pages on common browsers at common display resolutions

digital photography & digital images
I have five years’ experience with traditional photography and darkroom processes, digital photography, digital image processing, and vector and bitmap graphics. I also have extensive knowledge of electronic prepress, including preflight, high-end scanning, production of film and proofs, and troubleshooting type, images, and page layouts.
Photo shoots

Digital image processing

writing
I am a skilled writer and editor, published online and in print periodicals. I believe in using the clearest, most straightforward language, whether I am writing a technical manual, a proposal, a news release, or an email to the client.
